The next step is to choose the right fragrance for your home. If you’re using wax melts for the first time, it’s best to choose a scent that’s subtle and doesn’t overpower the atmosphere. Vanilla is a classic choice and is one of our most popular wax melt scents. You can experiment with different scents like lavender, banana bread, honey & oud or mix and match to customise the scent to match your home according to the season or mood.

Wax melt safety

When it comes to wax melts, safety is important. Ensure you place your wax warmer on a heat-resistant surface and never leave it unattended. If using a candle-lit wax warmer, do not exceed 4 hours to preserve the wax melt scent for longer. Whereas electric burners can be left on for up to 10 hours at a time.

Whether you’re using electric wax warmers or candles, ensure that you’re in the same room and that you can see what’s happening; and make sure you switch off the wax warmer before bed and check for any hot spots on the warmer. With some wax warmers, you can also control the intensity of the heat and the amount of fragrance coming out of them.

Traditional warmers are far less complex, just insert a tea light and watch the wax melt.

Over time the scent will fade but the wax will remain you can add another cube to revive the scent or remove the wax disc and replace the scents to match the season or mood.
